Genevieve Collister Brown (they/them)

I am a psychosexual and relationship therapist registered with COSRT. I’ve also been a sex educator for several years now as @squirtingisntpee and I’m committed to helping you find experiences, identities and relationships that suit you.

I am a white, queer, non-binary, disabled, working-class person from Lancashire. These identities shape me as a person and as a therapist, and I work with my clients in a way that recognises all aspects of their identity as well.

I promote sexual health and well-being without fear or shame. I have knowledge of sexual dysfunctions and disorders, but my approach is to move away from over-medicalising and focus on what you want and need.

One of my favourite things about therapy and counselling is this field requires life-long learning, and I’m always trying to improve and integrate new approaches to better serve my clients.

Who I work with:

- I work with adult individuals, couples/intimate partnerships (including polyamorous and platonic relationships) looking to work though things related to sex, sexuality, gender and relationships

- I specialise in working with gender, sexual and relationship diversity, including non-monogamy, LGBTQIA+, kink and other marginalised identities and experiences

- I also have a keen interest in working with neurodiversity and disability, recognising that many popular forms of therapy do not always work best for us

How I work:

I offer short, medium or long-term psychosexual and relationship therapy drawing from a variety of approaches including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Existential, Systemic and trauma-informed Polyvagal and inner child work. All this is to say, I tailor our work to best suit your goals and needs.

My qualifications:

Level 4 qualification in integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling from the London Foundation in Psychotherapy and counselling

Distinction Post-graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship therapy from the London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, awarded at Level 7 through Middlesex University, London

Currently undertaking Pink Therapy’s Diploma in GSRD Psychotherapy

I regularly attend CPD courses, most recently these have included; Introduction to Internal Family Systems, Working with Compulsive Sexual Behaviour, Therapy for Sex Workers (ran by ESWA)
